6 weeks old today and smiling up a storm!

Sophia is 6 weeks old today. I can't believe it's already been six weeks. They say time flies once you have little ones...just about the time you want it to slow down so you can savor every moment. She's smiling all the time. She smiles when you touch her nose, she smiles at her daddy when he gets home, she smiles at me but I have food and of course she smiles when she's dreaming. She's being pretty good to Eric and I sleeping from about 10:30 p.m. til 4 a.m. and then waking up again at 7 a.m. We really can't complain. Here are some pictures of her dreamy smile.

This is the "I've had enough with the pictures...put me to bed" look.

Sweet baby girl

Sophia has started smiling. We've tried to capture the million dollar smile but have not been able to yet. Stay tuned, it's worth it! Here are a few recent pictures of her just hanging out being her sweet self. She's started smiling, cooing and responding to our voices. She's something!

A day with Sophia

She loves her baths...until she has to get out.

Look at my new cheeks. We went to the doctor this past Friday and she weighed in at 10 pounds and 1 ounce. She had a bit of a growth spurt last week.

Never knew so much love

It's tough being little.

Eric and I are no doubt blessed with knowing a whole new level of love...for each other and this wonderful little girl we get to call our daughter.

Sometimes a little girl just needs her daddy.

Our little Sophia Lucille has arrived

On December 17th, 2008 at 8:05 a.m., Eric and I were given proof that dreams really do come true. We were looking at each other when we heard her first cry and were changed forever. There really was a baby girl growing inside my belly all this time and she was finally here. She was the most beautiful thing we had ever seen, as far as we were concerned. She's been on this earth for 18 days now and I can honestly say I don't know what life was like before her. She was a little jaundice at first but has since "pinked up" as my mom likes to say. Here are a few photos from the last 18 days or so.
